This is the best series of tutorials on advanced PowerPoint techniques I’ve found anywhere. I’m delighted to find a group of people using the advanced animation capabilities of PPT used so successfully in business applications. BRILLIANT work, and please keep it up.

During PowerPoint slideshow, how can one manually move one object from one position to other points on the same slide?

Moving objects from one position to other positions on the same slide is possible during PowerPoint Normal View but not possible during slideshow because they be preset or formatted to do so using animations and can’t be move manually in slideshow.

If it is possible to move objects/shapes manually during slideshows please explain to my students. Thanks

    Hi Steve,

Unfortunately this isn’t possible – in slideshow mode, PowerPoint runs the pre-programmed animations. In order to do live editing of a slide, you would have to be in Normal View. Depending on your requirements, you may want to consider using alternative software if you need to move objects around to make your point.

Sorry we couldn’t be of more help!

Thanks Jessica for your comment and suggestion of using alternative software. I will try and search for this alternative software. However, if you know of any, please do not hesitate to post it. Thanks once again.
